Absolutely vital to your startup journey is your Purpose, Mission, Vision, Values.

But even more important than this is how you operationalise these values into the business to create tangible behaviours that can be shown by everyone who works in your company. Setting these is only 5% of the work, embedding them makes up the rest. The part I play personally is in being a highly operational advisor, so you’ll get both from me 😊.

This should be one of the first things any Founder or Founding team looks at when they set up their company. Of course it’s harder to operationalise them fully until you start growing your team, but you can absolutely set them so you’re ready.

I work with Founders on getting the foundations 🧱 in place for this. Depending on what is needed and where you are in your journey I will:

Deep dive on you, and your business to get to the core of your background and personal values

🤿 Deep dive on your business to help formalise purpose, mission, vision and get these set

Help you define values that make sense to you personally, that you can genuinely live and breathe

Give you support / guidance on how to operationalise these, and work with you to do so as you grow, feeding heavily into your culture as a business.

Crucially, these must come from you. I can’t generate some values for you to throw on the wall. They must come from you but my work with you focuses on how you can come up with them, how you differentiate between Purpose, Mission, Vision, and also how you can start to think about operationalising values when you start to hire.

You can’t simply pick 3 words that you find aspirational. You have to think very carefully about whether your values are true reflections of you. Pick ones that you can’t personally uphold and you set yourself up for potential failure. What might seem like a simple exercise, needs to be taken with real intent and thought. And then you need to also think very carefully about how you get these engrained across your team.

When that moment does come, I also have a number of workshops / exercise ideas 💡 I can share with you to involve your team in this (Which is vital).
