And why do we need values when it’s just me or some friends who know how we all work anyway? And why worry about how we communicate when we all fit in one room, and finish each others sentences. And what about culture? What’s the need when you know you’re all as driven as each other to not just survive but thrive in this startup world.

One day you’ll look back on this and say “Those were the days!”. Everything seems simple, smooth and simplistic.

Don’t take it lightly either. You rush this and get it wrong and you’ll be in trouble down the line. Invest time and attention in it. It is one of the most important things you will do as a Founder, and it happens right at the start.
